The new Aprilia Tuono 1000R for 2006Here is a brief recount of the first comments in the press on Noale’s newest naked motorcycle, few hours after the launch of the first official images. The experts’ latest opinions are presented here in random order:

Motorbox
The new edition, completely renovated, confirms and develops the original concept, demurely sporty with high handlebars. The aesthetics were completely revised, as was the front cowl which keeps the peace between the ‘family feeling’ and the super sporty, but with respect to the previous model, it seems much more harmonised. For now it will be the only ‘naked’ in the world able to boast of a dynamic intake under the front cowl.

Infomotori
The line does not hide the vain ambition present in the Tuono’s DNA, and the only difference between the naked and its sister the superbike is the near absence of streamlining and a larger handlebar.
The result is a true sport 1000cc ‘stripped’ and made even more manageable by a less exasperating set-up. The brakes, with radial calipers and a quadruple lining, and the professional suspension confirm Noale’s new motorcycle as one of the baddest nakeds on the market.

The Tuono 1000 R, the motorcycle that inaugurated the new segment of hypernaked bikes, changed looks. And it did it with an enormously large transgression: it launched a design even more minimalist to exalt the image of manageability and of agility. Result? If you don’t look too closely at the tires and rims, the motorcycle seems like a 125....
